Global exchange programs have the power to transform lives by exposing individuals to new cultures, ideas, and opportunities while building stronger connections across communities and nations.
As part of the Freedom250 activities, American Corner Agbogba hosted an inspiring session titled “My U.S. Exchange Journey: Lessons, Opportunities, and the Benefits of Global Exposure.” The program provided participants with valuable insights into the impact of international exchange experiences and how global exposure can contribute to personal growth, leadership development, and professional advancement.
The session was facilitated by Felix Premang Nketiah, a Community Engagement Exchange Program alumnus, who shared his personal experiences from his U.S. exchange journey. Through his reflections, participants gained firsthand knowledge of the lessons learned, cultural experiences, networking opportunities, and the transformative impact of participating in an international exchange program.
Felix highlighted how exchange experiences go beyond travel—they create opportunities for individuals to develop new skills, build meaningful relationships, understand different perspectives, and contribute positively to their communities.
Participants learned about the benefits of global exchange programs, including leadership development, cross-cultural understanding, collaboration, and access to international networks. The discussion encouraged young people and professionals to actively seek opportunities that broaden their horizons and equip them with the skills needed to thrive in an interconnected world.
